ROBOTICS
Kids will learn about Engineering concepts such as Systems Development Life-Cycle, Programming the Robot with EV3 MINDSTORM, problem solving, and teamwork. No prior LEGO Robotics experience is necessary.
GAME DESIGN
During the camp, students will learn designing and coding their own game with SCRATCH. Kids will learn and practice the design thinking methodology to understand real-life problems and solve them by incorporating the knowledge they have learned.
COMPUTATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY
During this camp, scientific, perceptual, and artistic principles behind image-making will be emphasized, especially as impacted and changed by computation using Python programming language.
Topics include the relationship between computational techniques and the human visual system, technical issues involving capturing light to form images, technical aspects of image capture and rendering, new forms of cameras will be introduced.
DIGITAL ARTS
3D Design: Students will use Tinkercad 3D Design application. Tinkercad is a simple, online 3D design and 3D printing app for everyone. Students will be able to print their designs, and take them home.
Photography: Students will learn aesthetic and technical theories and techniques of digital photography by using digital photo manipulation and editing software.
Video Editing: Students will learn the basic skills using PowerDirector software. This camp will be beneficial as the content taught is universal so that students can learn or operate other video editing software easily.
Camps are scheduled for full day (8AM-3PM). Students must bring a packed lunch. Snacks will be provided.
